Saladares-Urbanova beach

Saladares-Urbanova beach is located south of the municipality of Alicante, 5 kilometres away from the city centre, in an area with no agglomerations. The beach is of fine, golden sand and the beach walk is over a kilometre and a half. The surroundings are semi-urban and a string of dunes at the southern end offer a pleasant view.

Bathers are offered a varitety of services: surveillance, a promenade, shops and restaurants. There are some naturist areas. There is also a pedagogical play area for people with mental disabilities and an accessible point with a service of accompaniment to the toilet for people with reduced mobility during the summer season. North of Urbanova beach is Agua Amarga beach, Alicante’s dog-friendly beach.

Accessible beach

The city of Alicante offers an accessible beach service during the summer, with recreational-educational areas aimed at people with intellectual disabilities, as well as a bathing/swimming assistance service for people with reduced mobility. The accessible areas are located on the beaches of San Juan, Postiguet , Saladares-Urbanova and there is a bath assitance point in the island of Tabarca

  • From 1 July to 15 September at access nº6, opposite the lifeguard post.
